The application process for all of the models is grounded in the public health approach. Each of the models is applied using the process illustrated below.
The first step in enhancing power or preventing or intervening in outbreaks of conflict and violence is to assess the physical, emotional, mental, environmental and spiritual bodies to diet, trauma, toxicity and infection.
The second step is to develop a response that addresses the findings of the Assessment phase and that enhances or reestablishes power in a healthy way.
The third step is to apply the response, monitoring impact, outcomes and related dynamics.
The fourth step is to evaluate the efficacy of the response protocols and to make adjustments based on what was learned during the application of the responses, as well as on new information and input.
The final step is to incorporate the adjustments in step four and to reapply the response protocols as part of a continuing process of refinement and application.
The process involves all stakeholders. It integrates existing and new resources, incorporates continuing assessment, refinement, and improvement, and is resposponsive to the client population's specific needs and desired outcomes.
