SpiritRidge Institute develops educational programs for the Integrative Power Management Model (IPM2), the Integrative Conflict Management Model (ICM2) and the Violence Integrative Prevention and Restoration (PAR) Model in seven general configurations:
Public Information Programs (PIPs) — These are orientation and introduction programs that introduce people to the Models at conferences, workshops, symposia and organizational gatherings. Multimedia PIPs are also important components of the public information effort. These include books, white papers, online information, e-learning (on and off-line), video productions and audio recordings.
Public Workshops and Training — Programs designed to provide specific skills for general public use are available. A range of methods and media may be employed in these programs.
Practitioner Certification Training — Programs designed to provide more extensive training are used to certify practitioners. These are individuals who do volunteer outreach.
Speaker Certification Training — Certified Speakers are those who have completed the Practitioner Certification Training and go on to give talks to service groups, churches, schools and others. They receive training in public speaking.
Consultant Certification Training — Professionals working with clients who are dealing with challenging human relationships can receive training and certification for providing consulting and coaching based on SpiritRidge Institute Models.
Instructor Certification Training — The Institute certifies instructors, who go on to provide instruction to others in the Models.
Master Instructor Certification Training — This program is designed for those wishing to undertake the most in-depth training offered by the Institute and which qualifies them to train and certify instructors, consultants, speakers and practitioners.
Process
Training programs incorporate the following modules:
The basic precepts of the PAR Model or other Models.
Understanding the elements (components) of the Model.
Integrating the elements with other disciplines (neuroscience, attachment theory, public health processes, etc.).
Using the Model's tools — assessments, inventories, Risk/Resiliency maps, etc.
Practical applications of the model.
Trainers and Adjunct Faculty are supported with a range of resources, many of which are web-based. For some types of certification, periodic review and supervision is required.
